United States of America show April 2008
Tony Gaziano and Dean Girling will be visiting the United States of America with their Made-to-order and bespoke exhibition.
They will also be displaying their new range of ready to wear styles which will include boots, dress shoes and sports shoes, as well as upgrading their quality and specification.

I hadn't noticed before the beautiful antelope natural grain leathers from their (I believe) bespoke swatch book. The chestnut one would be perfect for a pair of heavy Norwegian welt, split-toe derbies. Temptations, temptations...

^^^ They are. I just can't find the utility in bespoke shoes. I have done a couple, but find that a good RTW gives me everything I need.

Reminds me of a "special" I took advantage of some years ago from Dege, on shirts. I referred a friend, and then attempted to collect on the scheme: refer someone for shirts, and get a free white shirt of your choosing with your next order, or something to that effect.
So, I am in London, go into Dege, place my next order, and peruse the "white" cloths and make my choice. The M.D. (so called managing directors in the U.K. matriculate at accredited medical schools?) practically chokes, and says, that particular cloth is not usually available with this promotion. I had to remind him the offer was for a white shirt of my choosing, not his. He replied: "My you drive a hard bargain Dr. Teplitz."
You shouldn't need a course in contract law to transact shirt business.

Fritzl, what shoemakers in Austria would you recommend and what are their approximate prices, if you don't mind sharing with us??
Edit: Not that replacing G&G as my main source has ever crossed my mind, but I do appreciate different approaches to shoemaking, e.g. I like my Kielman shoes.

Shoemakers in Austria, do they exist? Last year I sent 4 (or was it 5?) emails (2 in German) to Maftei inquiring about their full brogue model. I received no reply. I'm still in the market for a brogue in lt. brown or tan, with antiquing.
