Yet another day off work. Oh, what to do with all this free time...?
Another barbecue tonite
Dunlop Green Flash (actually white leather, and the 'flash' is more burgundy, but they have the right look about them I think)
Black/dark red/off white argyles (Burlington, since Uncle Russ is always going on about these)
Shit-brown cord jeans
Grey sweatshirt with writing on it over grey marl T-shirt
Natural-coloured Harrington
Harris:
Incontinence pants Superstars with Phat Laces
Fubu Jeans
Oakland Raiders jersey
Why? Cuz I just gotta keep it real!
(Sorry, I couldnt help but think how funny that would be...)
Chocolate brown leather coat, camel hair lining, from Sulka
Blue checked shirt, Riva cloth, from Mimmo Siviglia
Beige quarter-zip cashmere sweater from Davide Cenci
Carhartt 1889 blue jeans
Chocolate brown Weston Demi-chasse shoes
Again, Dunlop Green Flash (white leather with burgundy) and the black/dark red/off white argyles.
Very faded khakis
D-ring belt (seatbelt webbing)
Black/white seersucker gingham BD
Pale tweed Brooks sack jacket
black-faced GMT watch on Bond strap
Thought I'd try the 'tennis shoes and sports jacket' look today. It certainly seems to provoke smiles from passers-by
A rare suit day for me today: Brooks Makers Olive Poplin Sack. Probably the suit I've worn more than any other in my long and wonderful life (I always shift into Tweeds & Cords the first chance I get when the weather gets grim).
Perfect Brooks mid-1980's natural shoudlers. 3/2 roll. Swelled edge to the (then correct) 3.5" lapels. Patch & flap with upper welt. Flat fronts with the old Brooks high rise. 1.5" Cuffs.
It's a suit which no longer exists & due to its age it has a wonderful peachy 'nap' to the cotton on the elbows & seat.
Worn with an old USA through-&-through Brooks Blue/White Candy Stripe OCBD.
Canterbury Cordo coloured Steerhide, Brass buckle belt.
Navy Royce cotton socks.
Cordovan Fairmount Penny Loafers.
No tie. But one in my pocket if I change my mind (A perfect Burgundy J. Press Silk Knit).
Lunch out with a client.
J.
The suit looks like this but in Olive:

Dressed down tonight. Just taking it easy and watching alittle t.v.
No name pajamas
Patrick Cox blake stitched slippers.
old topsiders, old Bills buttonflys, old Brooks red and white university stripe oxford, old Argyle and Southerland tie, navy and khaki wool belt, why....because i can
^ Sounds busy. Change the belt, tie or shirt?
All the items you list are good but your combination of them seems too much. It seems all piled on somehow. You need something plain up top with all that going on. Especially as you are a blank canvas from the waist down.
Do you see what I mean?
Tan suede chukkas, brown/blue/beige argyles, off-white jeans, navy polo-shirt w. white stripes on collar, hip-length beige rainjacket (for the pockets).
Summery, got to make the most of it.
Black Bass weejuns
501s
pink Brooks oxford cloth
black briaded leather belt
very simple today after yesterdays color and pattern
Today i'm wearing from top:
A tanned Button Down DNA Groove shirt with blue, white and dark brown checks
a tanned belt
Levi's Jean with small turns up (Keeping to the rules????????)
Light brown socks
Tanned Trickers brogues
it sunny in walse (yes i know)

Black supah 120s suit with bright, white chalk stripes, Bright red ginham shirt and a black tie with large silver skull n crossbones, black calf shoes and black socks with small multi-colored dots woven into the fabric and spread out.
Dark brown penny loafers, no socks, tobacco poplin suit trousers, black polo shirt.
G9 on top for the walk to work.
For various reasons, I had to look suitably subdued at work today. Still trying to keep it cool and summery in the 75° that passes for a heatwave round here.
Dunlop Green Flash (white leather with burgundy trim) - fast becoming a summer staple. Like on the Jack Purcell, the "smile" on the toe appeals to me.
No socks.
Faded C&A khakis, stained from gardening...
Old cracked brown belt with brass buckle, pinched from Dad 25 years ago.
Blue and pink gingham BD (all this talk of gingham recently!)
G9 on top (for better or for worse, I now find myself reaching for the Harrington wherever I would have otherwise worn a blazer or sports jacket). I must keep my eyes open for a couple more of these in other colours.
