We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

Well. I usually only go down in the morning and come back at night as I only do the day so I generally don't stay over. However from the 23rd of June I'm there all week.

Re: The 500 Best Songs Ever....

I don't mean to denigrate rock music. I listened to enough in the early 1970s. I do think that 'My Back Pages' was Bob Dylan's best rock song. But the music kind of blew out beginning in the 1970s. Bruce Springsteen was the last great rock musician. The rest are bad imitations. But it is worthwhile trying to recognize where the music came from. The Beatles and most British Invasion R&R the roots were obvious. Jimmy Hendrix a bit less so to me, but I think many Blues musicians would have figured out the chords. and most heavy metal music came from Jimmy Hendrix.
Rap: I am too old. I have no idea. all about a boring beat and rhyming lyrics. It came from somewhere, but not from anyplace that liked melody.
