Re: Ivy League style for today

Back to work for me -

White Hanes Beefy T. Is there a better T.?
J. Press Blue/White Candy stripe, flap pocket, 3 btn collar, OCBD.
Loden Shaggy Dog. A very nice shade, IMO.
Charcoal Flannels from LL Bean - Flat front, 1.5" turn-ups, no break.
Canturbury Cordo coloured Steerhide belt.
Charcoal sox.
Fairmount Cordovan Pennies.
RTL field watch on plain Navy RAF G10 strap (also RTL).

When out: A lovely Browny/Fawny Harris Tweed 2/3, undarted, natural shouldered, centre vented Sack from Our Mate Moose.
Over the top: A vintage London Fog Mac from Flip. Kinda mushroomy: http://www.chartingnature.com/img%5Cmushrooms%5Cmushroom-plate1.jpg

Re: Ivy League style for today

A day of walking dogs, visiting puppies (aaaah!), latterly eating copious quantities of shrimps with hot sauce washed down with akvavit and winter beer...

LaCrosse rain boots
Heikki's socks
The same old H&M jeans as most of this week
blue Brooks slim-fit OCBD
mid-grey cashmere crewneck
check flannel lined navy cord jeans jacket
navy nylon, fibre pile lined work cap with 'all-round-fold-up-ear'n'neck-protector' (pretty horrific but warm as toast, and noone recognises me in it)

Edit:
^
Swapping 'shrimps' with 'puppies' above changes the whole picture. Gotta keep it credible though...

Re: Ivy League style for today

lewis, thanks!

as for the bd tab collar shirt, i've got one, an old (supposedly eighties) number by ben sherman. it's a pale yellow one with rather nice blue-ish tattersall-like check. the bad thing is, that the collars are very small, thus, there's no proper roll. on the other hand, it's somehow nice in it's own right though. i don't wear it these days tho as it's way too small for my current self. also, i'm not sure of the check colours as the shirt's been locked in my wardrobe for a while now.

and oh, i like your cardie btw! a piece of clothing that looks great on slim blokes like you (or would on jason) but is definetely nor for mine to wear with my beer gut and whatnot. big_smile

Chucking it down today. Amphibious outfit.

black LaCrosse neoprene rain-boots
Lands End khakis, rolled up
pink Brooks OCBD
navy wool knit tie to keep the wind out (thought the spouting whale tie was too much...)
Bean Norwegian sweater in a navy/white/red Fair-Islish pattern
ancient bright yellow Helly Hansen oilskin jacket, to raise a few smiles...
