A trip to John's with my Brother today amongst other things:
Olive Poplin Sack 3/2 (Top of a suit) with those Charcoal year-round wool flat-fronts again. They just spring back after each wear!
Candy stripe Blue/White OCBD. Brooks.
Fairmount Cordo Pennys & Charcoal sox.
J. Press woven Cordo coloured belt.
Trying to stalk Richmond Hill & Chris_H we went to John's, Kranz & up to Sicilain Avenue in search of the secret Shetland store (now closed). Never the kind to feel disappointed for long we headed for The Ivy House and quickly learned how iced Vodka was man's best fiend...

All was well in John's & Kranz & The Ivy House. Then we went to the Inns of Court to look for Playboys (the shoes), but just met a mate of my Bro's & got a cab back to the Criterion for lunch.

I mention all of this only to make it clear that my name is Russell Street: IPimp and Ivy fan.
Roll on London!
Jim.

Hi everybody,
for me today it's short sleeves mid-80s Ben Sherman (lilac-yellow-lime-green checks, quite small 3 button down collar); pale grey parallel slacks in woolen fresco (medium-high waist, vertical pockets, same style as early Levi's sta-prest); brown leather belt, burgundy socks, oxblood weejuns.
Baracuta G-9 in natural, traditional fit; Rayban "Caravan" shades.
A French beret in the pocket, just in case it rains...
Longer than usual haircut, kinda "Smoothie" thing..
Nice day to ya all.

LL Bean Cord Chinos - Marsh Brown.
LL Bean Classic Grey Sweat.
Hanes White Beefy T. Crew on Crew!
Canterbury woven Cordo coloured belt.
Moss Green Argyles. Burlington.
Bean Leather Slippers.
It is raining. I'm staying in.

black bass weejuns, no socks
Levi 501 button fly
untucked old landsend madras short sleeved shirt
just casual today
Another suit day:
Charcoal Press Sack. 3/2. A good natural shoulder (again pre-Canada). Flat fronts with 1.5" cuffs and no break.
Brooks Blue/White Candy stripe OCBD.
Guards tie.
Charcoal hose.
Black Sebago Caymans.
In the evening this will change into old Duckheads and a slightly moth-holed soft Blue checked Pendleton worn over a Grey Marl T. for the drinking I think. Camp Mocs also.
J.
Black brogues, black/grey/brown argyle hose, rumpled khakis, black brogued belt, blue slim-fit Brooks OCBD, grey sack jacket.
Morphing into a boring old Tradd?
Fine stripe Blue/White Seersucker half-sleeve BD - Bean.
Large check Blue/White/Yellow/Red Madras lookalike 9" Flatfront shorts - Bean.
Cactus Camp Mocs - Bean.
Nothing else at all.
'Tis the season...

Inspired by MG's and others' posts yesterday:
sand desert boots
white crew socks
off-white jeans (straight leg, button fly)
brown belt
plain grey sweatshirt (C&A still has them ) over navy T
beige hip-length mac
also 'on the moose tip' lol:
a white slimfit bd (zara), a charcoal grey mid 60-s jacket (turo, finland, the cut on the front is surprisingly similar to the jacket mr mclennan is wearing, however, typical to early/mid sixties finnish made jackets, there are no vents either on the sides or the back), beige sta-prest ish slim cut trousers, charcoal socks w/ light grey vertical stripes, black plain heavy soled lace-ups (barker's).
moose, you certainly were an inspiration!
warm today
old topsiders no socks
brooks linen shorts
madras shirt (mostly blues) untucked
timex watch on navy/maroon grosgrain band
too preppy?
