All that knowledge going to waste?

Sad.

If only we could get a computer to him somehow.

Re: New Improved Inane Post of the Day Thread (50% More Snark)

In fairness to Matt, it is hardly "arcane" knowledge to anyone who frequents the forum culture that the Buff's first name is "Carl." I believe it was Mantovanni who spilled that bit of info.  Really, after years in the forum culture, all I know of FNB is that his first name is Carl, he lives somewhere in the greater New York area, is concerned with dressing well and (I presume) likes Film Noir.

P.S. It hardly seems more heinous than calling a guy a "midget" just because he's short and characterizing a legitimate and interesting question as "masturbation."

P.P.S. I didn't approve of Manton's repeatedly calling FNB "fat," either.

Nice to see the boys at it again.

Someone is abused and makes a mild and well-mannered protest. Then everyone jumps down his throat for using a name he is not allowed to use.

This, 'gentlemen', is bullying. Show your wives and ask them what they think.

Moreover, the proposition that this forum is full of brave, individualistic, devil-may-carers is hardly borne out by this reaction. There is a whiff of hypocrisy and irresoluteness in the air. Disappointing.

I've seen him called Carl before--by either Voxsarotia or Manton.  Usually in less than friendly exchanges. Most   interforum exchanges seem to be less than friendly.  In any event I'm all for an end to internet anonymity
