Tony characterizes these plain toe bluchers, perhaps unkindly, as "the fuggliest shoos I've ever seen." I don't find them offensively ugly but I do find them so bland that I can't imagine anyone really seeing them. They're like a brown blur, or a cartoon character's shoes. They kinda remind me of Skechers, or some other DSW brand that you get when you have to appear in court to contest a drunk driving charge and you don't have any dress shoes.

It seems to me it's not misogyny as much as it is "look at me, I'm so Alpha it hurts, I treat my woman like shit because I ooze testosterone" combined with a fair dose of trying to act the perceived part of 19th century British aristocracy. It's just difficult to tell because the people spouting that crap tend to be socially awkward weaklings who only talk like that on the net.
