Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Delighted for you AC on those Makers, always good to bag wish list items. I long to find a yellow uni stripe makers, maybe one day. Also, I was intrigued that you said you were saving the tatershall for cooler weather. is it standard Oxford cloth, or something heavier? Iwondered what if anything lends it particularly to winter wear. I d agree though that it would look good with cords and would probably look better than a plain Oxford would under a Shetland.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

T you guessed right the tattersal is very thick Oxford ,which should serve me well this winter.

Tattersal,Shetland,Cords.....i cant wait and summer hasn't even started yet.

I need to get me an Otter pink/salmon shetland to get with the pink Candy stripe

Although i have a lovely landsend charcoal made in Scotland shetland that would look stunning paired with it IMO.

Lovely jacket, Yuca.  I've got a few of the lighter wool or wool blends that are a lighter than tweed, and they've served me well in my climate.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

I've now realised it's a touch too short, however there is a little bit at the bottom of the jacket to let down. Only 3/4" but I don't see why it can't be done, as it's too nice to waste and it's not quite right at present. I've had sleeves let down before without problem, so why not the bottom of the jacket? Anyone tried it?

Lovely shirts boys.  Yuca, you'll love that short sleeve Makers.  They're my go-to shirts at the moment.

Green one was on my watch list - but with work being a bit sporadic I couldn't commit, just as I found I had the money to pay myself the Ivy Eagle himself swooped in and grabbed it. Hahaha.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Darn sorry man! That seller is truly the worst when it comes to sizing and measurements though, I'm convinced he just makes up numbers so who knows how it'll fit. There's some similar looking sacks if not even nicer with 18" shoulders that are really really tempting me on Etsy but I'm permanently in the boat you've been in with work as of late and don't think I'll be spending any more on clothes this year as the credit card debts are rising!

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

it's a belter indeed - love jackets that have a bit of a different vibe, just to peak the wardrobe.

If it's not right let me know, i might be tempted to wrench it from your claws! hahahaha
