Can't afford it now but this is worthy of buying and taking the shoulders in:

Tis a belter - that cal craft bomber you have in the list - I missed out on that by $1 on the bay - it only sold for $58 iirc, its the second or 3rd time in a month or so this has happened and the items have turned up either on etsy or FB at a massive mark up, frustrating as I was bidding to wear - not sell on.
That stinks! There's nothing I hate more than greedy culture poachers that buy just to sell at profit; clothes, records, art, etc.
Ehem!!
I don't mind if it's a fair mark up, but that jacket is serious money - I missed out on a job lot of items, again by £1 - it was a late night finish / early morning auction, so I put a max in, now the winning bidder is selling these items on individually.
To be fair he's not been greedy with the asking prices, I just get narked when I miss out on something to find it reselling for a mark up.
I'm just saying unless it was bought with the intent of wearing then it's a jerky move to grab something of this category vintage on eBay just to resell at double cost a week later for a c-note, especially if others were bidding on the listing. I can understand if it were something really off the radar that a seller might've been clueless to and went for a real bargain (like the $4.99 jacket I pm'd you the other day, WM) but why screw other people over for a buck here and there? Record/book/art dealers of a certain ilk are the worst kind of pilfering scumbags and capitalist culture frauds and swindlers. It's one thing if you have a dedicated Etsy/eBay shop curated for flipping thrift score finds because you dig clothes; people like us might even be plugged into it. It's another thing to snatch an item that somebody genuinely wants to purchase, wear and enjoy, only to make a small profit... screw that guy.
I want to buy a bucket hat, been seeing some vintage Brooks Brothers lately.
PS love that hat, btw. Not something I could pull off - might get a bucket hat for summer holidays though. I hear you Sancho.
Well put Oli, that's kinda what I meant.
Great lid, caps don't suit me so that's safe territory, haha!
Welcome to the decline of global corporate capitalism and just about every major city in the U.S. man; San Francisco's got the worst of it now. We've thankfully got rent control in our neighborhood but we're basically dumping the equivalent of a nice sized mortgage down the drain each month while trapped in a one-bedroom.
A buddy of mine moved to SF a few years ago and he's been relegated to slumming it in an Oakland dump of an apartment. He keeps trying to convince me to head west, but his situation doesn't really fill me with a great sense of confidence that I wouldn't end up in the same position.
One reason why, despite hating the Tories, I will not vote Labour - they had 13 years to give the common man affordable housing and failed to tackle the problem. Presumably on the assumption that the UK economy was going to become so strong on the basis of all the wonderful 'services' we can offer the world (e.g. getting each other in debt) that we would all be able to afford ridiculously expensive housing.
In other news: my Press/Hertling trousers have arrived and are outstanding.

YOU!!!!
Yeah, drop me a line if it doesn't work.
Hahahaha. I just saw Olliver's comment about the "$4.99" jacket and have put two and two together. I'll surely send the jacket to you if it doesn't work out for me.
15.5-32! How do you reach your crash cymbal man?!?
