Does anyone have a link to this Ivy Hitman. I can't turn it up. Him up.
Thanks for confirming, B_B. Sorry for missing that one.
Oh Worried Man. I get it. I think.

Looks beautiful... Definitely 70s or 80s, just from the styling. Post a pic to the ILSFT thread when you have it in hand, I'd love to see it not all assed up with the lapels buttoned up...
Thanks! Yeah, the vent and the patch pockets gave me some clues... Will post a picture if works out!

70's. I think (correct me if I am wrong) that Brooks rolled the Boy's and University departments into the Brooksgate department in the early 70's. The width of the lapels are also a clue.
Thanks for the tip colin. Do you have a p2p measurement for the Large?

Sure. According to the seller (can check tomorrow):
Medium:
Chest - 20"
Length - 25"
Underarm - 19"
Large:
Chest - 22"
Length - 27
Underarm - 20"
Extra Large:
Chest - 23"
Length - 28"
Underarm - 20"
It looks loads better without the top button done up. The lapels aren't too narrow.
Yesterday I received a vintage Brooks Brothers tan poplin wash and wear suit in immaculate condition, a made in the USA, half-lined, 3/2 patch sack beauty.
Jacket fits perfectly, no alterations required, and the trousers need only to be taken up about a half-inch.
Very psyched about this one kids, it's right on time for the hot weather, which is what it was designed for, and though I don't have any pictures of it at the moment, rest assured it is an Ivy wonder and will be worn emblematically for years to come unless I get fat. Which I won't allow to happen mainly because I want to wear my new suit, not because of any greater health concerns.
