Re: Three different tailors - Three very different bespoke suits

The second suit looks like a train wreck to me. The collar is off, it's not settling back on his neck properly and is gaping, I reckon the sleeve pitch on the righthand sleeve is out since his arm doesn't seem bent but it's creasing badly, and the back could do with some serious cleaning up.

Is it me or is the button stance overly high on the third suit?

If it wasn't for the fabrics used I would have guessed at the second suit having been made in the Far East and being the 1000+ suit, and the third suit having been made by Richard Anderson or possibly Dege as it is very shaped and being the 2000+ suit (can't be Huntsman at that price and it's to expensive to be one of Kilgour's Chinese suits). The thing that makes me wonder is that it's Zegna and I'm not sure either of those firms use that.

Judging by the crotch creases on the first suit I suggest he invests in a steamer :-)

Re: Three different tailors - Three very different bespoke suits

Here they are:

Suit 1 - Anderson & Sheppard by John Hitchcock, north of 2000 GBP

Suit 2 - Gieves & Hawkes by Kathryn Sargent, north of 3000 GBP (This one I am particularly happy with sharing as I have not been able to find any photos of G&H bespoke on the net)

Suit 3 - WW Chan by Patrick Wu, just about 1000 GBP

iGent wrote...

'...As previous posters have said, photographs can be deceptive and not at all flattering. I'm no expert when it comes to cameras but I suspect the light and the angle of shot are not helpful in depicting the colour and cut of your suits (although I still thank you kindly for posting them)...'

Not a expert in photography? yeah, and you're not a expert in tailoring either.....complete crap..

And in the same post...

'...That said, I am surprised by the images of suits 1 and 2. No1 seems to lack any shape and hangs limply from the body, devoid of life. No2 has more shape but still seems to me to lack something fundamental...'

'...seems to be lacking something fundemental...' Yeah, no need for ambiguity, it doesn't f**kin' fit...
