Oh Okay I hear you my man, I was lookin to hear something like 'I got the koolest hardest bop(walk) in the world' Iam not a Jazz guy(to the dismay of my uncles) but I've heard of Hank Mobley not a bad guy to admire. As far as the Britisher Playboys go I remember Mike only had Beige and Rust in big sizes (11 and up) my friend bought 1 rust and 3 Beige and had a pair dyed Navy another pair Brown,he also stacked up on the Davs,man the more I think the more I wish I'd have found this site this time last year I'd have plenty of Davs the guy only wanted $30+$5 s/h geeeez! I don't know about the details of the construction of shoes like Weej and the other Xperts but I assure you will def like how they feel on your feet Fred, again they made a good shoe but they had lousy Advertising, I never knew they made PBs until last year.Yesterday a friend of mine showed me a pic of a pair of PBs(Britisher) in the box this had to be twenty years or better bcuz Palladio was written on the box they were the first Manufacturers of 'Original Britishers.' Back then they didn't make em as comfy as Samsung America,Palladio used pigskin Samsung used very soft leather maybe calfskin Weej you would be able to tell better then me buddy. Later Brothers

Yeah 6 all of them were Purple well the listing said Purple but the color was actually a Reddish Maroon not Purple at all my man who I traded with has Sanders PBs he said the box and number was identical along with a few more things he said he thought they were Sanders made, but not as upscale and felt just a little different. The seller was a Chinese dude who has a store in Texas as well as ebay I forgot his seller name when I finish I'll get it. After he said negative on the Davs he said you might like these and it was a pic of a E.T. Wright shoe so naturally I went to his ebay store and searched for E.T. PBs but nuthin. He sells Red Wing shoes/boots E.T. Wright a number of name brand styles I'll post the store name so whoever's interested can take a peek.

going up to mikes in the morning to check  out what he got,my man mookey say they got the originals playboys with the natural plantation crepe souls,we'll see if they are the real joints or the buster browns.last time i saw playboys with the natural plantation crepe souls was in 97 at a store called mc creedyys schrieber,they were located at 46 st. between  fifth and sixth ave. midtown they looked good and very comfortable,bought two pairs from them black and brown leather.they had suede also hi tops and low cuts too.at a 150.00 a pop back then. if you take a look at the john spencer web site they look like their chukka boots.the same style exactly with the original plantation crepe soles the only thing missing were the leather welting that went around the shoe.still have them and wear them every once in a while these playboys are still turning some in new york.i get stop some times and the cool cats ask me brother where did you get them playboys. will try to get some pictures soon,these were made to order for the store.  hard bop hank im a afro cuban jazz man and i like my old school slow jams too. weeji and 66 and the rest of the cool cats keep on keeping on keep me posted on what you got cooking in the background,got some people in new york who are interested in buying the original playboys.

Yeah Hank my uncles were really slick dudes one my mom's brother the other my Pop's brother they tried to get me to play chess and listen to Jazz which is what they would did after work on a daily,both were my heroes one died in 1990(a little bio fellas) yeah man I watched all the older cats in the 70s man those cats were sooo kool back then they def dont make em like that anymore. Imma oldskool hiphop lover early to mid 80s mostly 70 soul funk def the ballads 70s some 80s I just love music I mostly listen to 1club.fm online Quiet storm and 70-80s hits man they really screwed up the music when they took away the live bands but on the topic of PBs BIBI Mike has Sanders I think they go for $200 he doesnt have suede only leather he told me he'll get the snuff color in the fall,matter fact he got some new styles I dont know what they look like tho. I know the three pair at the end of the table on page 14(i think) are the older styles they go for $200 a pop the newer styles go for $250 last time I asked which was like two weeks ago. Mike got em tho, all kinds Britishers, GBX, RJ Colt, Sanders and a few more tell him, my man Mookey sent me here so dont try to over charge me LOL! Nah Mikes a good dude man...

That's interesting BIBI, I really prefer the white crepe underneath, somehow feels more real. I like those leather playboys in that photo in tan as well, never seen them anywhere else and don't know if Sanders will sell them on their own site or not.

Good BI you went in and did your thing Mikes a good dude he been around for a min when I first went in I he went waay back I was like Mike come on man what you know bout that he said Mookey 'I been around NY along long time' and he def has. He was in the Bronx in the 70s-80s he knows alotta people maybe he can get some info but he's too passive I had to press him hard to ask the dude at Samsung  to make more British Walkers for him since he sold alot of shoes for them. The Britishers they came back with were a failure bcuz Mike gave the dude the perfect sample and the dude made something... I dont know I think he pocketed some of the money the company was suppose to spent on leather bcuz the shoe is suppose to be leather from toe to tongue but this dude only put leather on the rim of the shoe.Many many merchants sent the shoes back to them and just when they were headed for liquidation Mike starts to move 10-20 pair a day from Dec to March. Samsung disc'd the shoe and Mikes best seller was gone. I told Mike its only right that they make you 1000 pair as a thanx he kept sayin no Mookey these people are big shots(he was intimidated) 1000 is nuthin.Finally he asked, the dude said yes I got Mike samples of 80s British Walkers and 11 months later no BWs and Mike wont ask the dude whats goin on. I said all that to say Mike knows alotta people at shoe companies like Presidents and VPs but he doesnt have the should I say balls  to approach them, so askin him anything about PBs(gettin them made)would be a waste. Well gents I think I've said enuff for twodays I mean 'today ' so yall cats take it easy and have a good one...
