Working class ascots (cravats)

Not a thread about those old-fashioned water heaters.

I was browsing through clips of the excellent 'Mind Your Language' TV programme from the 1970s.

I am sure it will soon be recognised as a classic. Alll your favourite cliches and racial sterotypes are there.

Anyway, I noticed that Sid the caretaker wears a cravat with his boiler suit and also when he is out for the night.

Obviously Sid is not a major character but it got me thinking.

'Yes Please !',' Cor Blimey !', ' A Thousand Apologies !'

I liked "Love Thy Neighbour" but it will never be seen on telly again.
