In the NYC metro area, most of the good men's hat shops are gone. You might want to Google, the Miller Hat Co in Houston. Dobbs, Stetson, et al.
Great selection, reasonably priced, excellent service, and even stock "long ovals" which disappeared in retail stores long ago.
