There has to be a post in here somewhere, my apologies that I can't find it.
Obviously none of my business, but does anyone understand the purpose of the annual "invitation only" trunk show being held in Switzerland, this year? Apparently being sponsored by a firm that makes t shirts that cost multiples of what a lot of people pay for dress shirts.
Passing strange, to me. During this time of drastic cut backs in all areas, this seems bizarre. Andy recently was trying to do a marketing study to help STP figure why their discount sales were way off? Just a wild guess, but maybe it is the economy.
There is a new guy posting under the user name of Robert Gibbs (aka, new administration press secretary). Guy appears to really be pulling their chain, but is apparently flying under the radar, at this point. He's posting as if he were the AK press secretary, and putting it across quite well. It is not too far outside of the realm of possibility to suspect that someone here is doing a magnificent job of injecting a little levity into the discussion.
If so, well done.
The OP asked why AK had been absent for so long.
My post that Andy didn't think was nearly as droll as I did was:
"I'm told that if a guy shows up on your front porch claiming that he once was able to sell shirts for over $1,000 that you could get him to leave by paying him for the pizza."
This was deleted at the speed of light; followed by a post by Andy assuring all that AK had just finished another record breaking year, and was taking a well deserved rest. This was then followed with the announcement about the gathering place being Switzerland, this year, and that AK was busily working on this event.
Good to know.
