The ugly corseted cynicism, the long dark shadow of the remaining class system and those Victorian mills is what has kept me running from dear Old Blighty, and I'm running still.  The use to call it the "brain drain" in the '70's now its more like the maning the life boats on the Titanic, but without the stoic heroism.
