"Jazz 1959" Night

For fellow jazz freaks out there who can access BBC4 this could be a real goodie. Friday 27th March is the date for your diary. Kicks off at 7.30 pm with a restored Dave Brubeck 'Jazz625' show from 1964 followed by a new Panorama documentary concerning  the events of 1959 at 8 o'clock. A documentary "1959:The year that changed Jazz" looks at the making of "Kind of Blue", "Mingus Ah Um", "The Shape of Jazz to come" and "Time Out" at 9 o'clock which is followed by a restored Dizzy Gillespie 'Jazz625' show at 11. Can't be bad!

Excellent I will watch out for that. BBC Four programmes seem to be either really well made and deep or made in some appalling 90s corporate video style, hope this will be the former!
