The one I had from Dennis was chambray. Wouldn't mind another.
Erm, if the button-down originated to prevent flapping when mounted, fine, but stop it now. Most shirtmakers are skimping on the collars so why bother? My JS Madras popover - why did they take the trouble?
Just bought a USA-made university stripe (not green unfortunately - one lives in hope of a Brooks surfacing 'under the radar' - if that makes any kind of sense). Best Offer accepted - £10 and no postage to pay. These are highly professional sellers on Ebay - stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap people - from whom I had a good Russell Athletic sweatshirt last November for much the same price. B.D. are not great shirts but I prefer them to all but one of the Gant I've had over the past few years.
I have only one BD that I purchased last year from Chiltern street. Made in Egypt.
Up until last week I would of given it a favourable review but the buttons have started to come off. Not a biggy but unusual compared to other brands I favour.
They should be what they are: a cheap shirt.
The latest turned up in the mail just before lunch. Not at all bad for a tenner, including postage. Made In The USA university stripe.
