Don't think I bought anything, but I've been in there with pals who bought those french suits. As I recall the suits were along the wall in the basement?

Is it true that the focus had switched from Soho to Chelsea before the shop opened? Was the Simons/Kwintner empire deliberately spreading its wings then? And what about Windsor?

I would say that is true, particularly for the fashonable arty/rock/hippy types, shops like Grannies had already been there from the mid-60's . The crowd that I mixed with and the type of clothes that interested us at moved on to that area around 1970. We used to spend Saturday afternoons at that time wandering up and down the Kings Road followed by a visit to the pub.
