The 'chav' comments are amusing. I always thought it was to do with 'charvering'.
Big thanks for the those links. I look forward to reading your stuff Alex.
Moorcock review? My very mature girlfriend finds nothing funnier than asking me if I'm looking for "Morecock" whenever I'm digging through used paperbacks.
Mister Moorcock was king of the Boho's before he graduated into hippydom, sci-fi writing and hanging around with Hawkwind!
Moorcock > More Cock
grew up reading the Elric of Melnibone series, then moved on to his other mythologies (Hawkmoon, Corum etc)
and yes, I've always been into what Alex has to say since many years ago on Modcult
I have to admit that I do like me some Hawkwind, especially when driving around on US interstate highways.
edit -- shouldn't begin two posts in a row w/ the same four words. Fixed.
I have more of Moorcock's novels than I have actually read (due to the fact that I have pack-rat tendencies and spend too much free time digging through used book stores for books I do not need), but of what I have read I've liked. Those new wavers got a bit goofy (half of the stuff in Ellison's Dangerous Visions, for example) but I really like the fact that Moorcock wrote neat and tidy paperbacks that were easily digested and didn't insult the intellect. Did you ever read any of those Jerry Cornelius books?
I also totally rate his website--one of the best examples of an author working w/ his fans. I haven't checked it out in a while; I think I'll go check it out.

Limited in time as I currently am, I'm bumping this in recognition of all Alex is doing to keep the show on the road here.
