I'm going to try and write that sentence again.
I saw this and thought it may be of interest to some of you.
There we go, not too difficult.
No more drinking while posting. I promise.
Good stuff Ray. Zappa is always very visual in his descriptions so it was a pleasure reading this.
I'm a fan of the man, I'm glad I got the chance to see him play when he was still alive.

I think Zappa was a clown, and he didn`t do anything that means anything to me... not a good Rock'n'Roll song, not a good pop song, and he certainly had no feeling for jazz or composition... some people have tried to convince me, I know Syd Barrett and Hendrix were fans, but I'm not... it's also not my kind of humour... maybe I just don't get it...
I think his only achievement was getting his photograph taken on the shitter...
Hank. While you are here. Have you seen the latest in the Mod Jazz series from Ace? 'The further adventures of...' Is there anything decent on it?
OK, I won't go on about that...
But he looks shit, doesn't he?
I mean it's a style forum, and any bum's got more style...
Whatever you think of Zappa, if you read this essay it gives a vivid description of the various tribes in his high schools in the late 50s. I'm really interested in the idea of "California Ivy" and it's place as the style of rockers and teenagers in the early 60s before (and just after) the arrival of the Beatles.
