Beachy Head -

My toes are never quite free from sand these days so what's the Ivy answer to beach life?

Cut offs? Striped BDs worn open & untucked as jackets? The White T.?

'Avin' it large on the plage!

Shorts.  Bill's are acceptable, albeit pleated.
Shirts.  Slightly billowing, very broken down Madras.
Feet are a bigger problem.  Boat shoes can be unforgiving; loafers seem wholly impractical.  Jack Purnell?  Canvas anyhow.  I'm well known in my family for venturing onto damp sand in my heaviest brogues, but then going barefoot.  The Englishman abroad!

Where for art thou, Russell?

Sandals, Ponyboy, sandals. Give in to the Birkenstocks. Don't worry, everyone looks a twat on the beach. That's half the fun of it!
