jesus, why go down 4 inches from the garments chest measurement? Clearly its a 40S jacket. with the trousers being a 34, and it measuring 42.5''
Oooh boils my blood it does.
I didn't look at the measurements, I'm not in the market for a suit at the moment unless it meets a strict set of criteria.
They all look pretty decent me, although I've not checked the links, due to none of them being my size. A tip: most/all will look better with only the middle button done up (particularly 2nd and last). It doesn't really matter though.
Couple of nice wooly things.

^ Btw I just noticed that one of the Hathaway trademark 3 eyelet buttons has been replaced with a 4 eyelet button on that Viyella/Hathaway shirt. Just in case anyone wanted to bid on a mint 50's shirt then realised it wasn't when it arrived.

J. Press jacket. I was considering purchasing it myself, but the light colour put me off.

Haha. That's a fantastic label. I love the sales blurb as well... "Because it has buttons on the collar that button to the body of the shirt, it is a Button Down shirt. Button down has nothing to do with the fact that it buttons. down. the front. I'm seeing far too much misinformation about this style all over the internet !". Hilarious.
I have to say though I'm interested in trying one of the Pendleton short sleeve wool BD's.
Aye, some of the etsy ads are great. I bought a tie from some nutter in the states once who had pretty much built a story around the tie that featured an abandoned studebaker in the middle of the woods. I think she implied that the person in the pic modelling the tie was either a time traveller or a ghost. Bizarre.
I nearly bought one a couple months back actually on ebay having looked for one in my size for a good few months but the colours weren't great so the search continues. I can see them working up here on the cooler Summer days.
By the way, it's a bloody good quote. It really captured what everyone was feeling on the Shetland thread.
Lovely, but alas I think it'll be too big in the body for me, good on the shoulders though. Typical story.
Love that. I'd certainly wear it.
Any of you lot out bidding me on ebay for Rooster ties? If so, be warned, you've beaten me on three, but no more.
I will be sitting here until the last second to out bid ya!
