Its getting to be that time of year again when a bumbershoot maybe needed. any one on here have one of these? http://www.foxumbrellas.co.uk/top_images/top-off_01.jpg
I rather fancy one of their nice stick brolly's. not cheap, but they are well made.

I looked at those Fox umbrellas not too long ago and like them.
The Fox umbrella shop in Moorgate is more of a Ralph Lauren outlet now.
At least Smith in New Oxford Street still has the quaint shop to visit.

With the big lucky horseshoe up on the wall which they point to when some tit tells them that it's unlucky to open an umbrella indoors. A proper London shop.
Bates on Jermyn Street was a real London shop too - is it still with us?
Bates had a sign up near that stuffed cat of theirs which said 'Please do not try hats on "Just For Fun".'
Quite right too.
Makes me think of John Simons' sign one Summer past - "No drinking, no eating. No joking."
Proper shops are serious about what they do.
I always liked the James Smith umbrellas. Is Brigg still in biz?
Brigg makes some defectives items and sells them with no shame ! !
All very nice Shooey. Unfortunately I leave about one umbrella a year on trains so I just stick to cheap ones,
You only lose one umbrella per year? Pfft, I supply half the city with umbrellas.
