That article is inaccurate when it says: bespoke (made-to-measure) shirts. Also the extravagant pairings of flamboyant checkered shirts, and a striped tie is distinctly British, which might prove strange or aesthetically erroneous to American eyes.
I suppose for the hand-sewn buttonholes there are still some pockets of craftspeople in Italy.
