^ Thing is... Just shave the cat & he's got The Look!
^^And that's what I was on about, how the Beats, a holy movement was hijacked by ad men. That's why Kerouac turned on his own creation. It became a caricature very early on, about the time Mad ran a whole edition skitting the Beats, in 1958 (if I remember correct).
^^^ I can just imagine all the bloggers looking at that pic of the bearded guy and having an erection, he looks just like the "latest true American workwear hero" look that is circulating the style blogs, best exampled by that d-bag whom LL Bean got to do their new line of toggery. Bit of chub on that guy in the ad too, I'm getting kind of a 'bear' subtext feelling.

Those Kerouac albums, I'm sorry, should never have been released. I've got the Rhino box set will 'em all on. The jazz musicians wouldn't hang out with him afterwards because he was so obnoxiously drunk. I think one was Zoot Sims, I need to check.
Spent the day in work today generally avoiding work and browsing the great Pathe newsreel website where there are some absolute gems of films.
Brother B, is this your old school pray tell? Enjoy!
