Re: Russell Street

Either this, or it's one of the younger Ask Andy Trads, but as he mentioned AAAT, I guess he's just trying to get us on the wrong track...

Re: Russell Street

If you receive an answer to #4 , please let me know. There isn't much that gets by me on this forum but I am at a complete loss as to what a convicted homosexual is. Google yields interesting but unhelpful results.

Not him.

... And I really do hope he'll come and banter...

- I won't 'out' you, promise. I'd just like you to link your POV to where you've come from. Put your world view into context?

You're now a forum member here. This place is as much yours as it is mine.

Chums,,

Whilst tempted to ask ol Spycatcher to stick around and explain hisself,, and whilst dying to know what a convicted homo is,, I must say this for ol Russell/Jim/David/et al.

Ol Russell 'as never been interested in the real identity of others on the interwebs.  Honour among trolls perchance.

Cheers to that honourable,, and un-indicted buggerer that Rusty is.

Cheerio.

Re: Russell Street

The convicted homosexual phrase was certainly one of the more curious in the OP.  One could be a convicted homosexual, or at least convicted of various acts associated with homosexuality, not all that long ago in the US.  When was Bowers v. Hardwick?  The early '60s?  Was it the same in Britain?  Is it, in fact, possible to have a living, convicted, British sodomite participating in these very fora?

Re: Russell Street

... Or one with "the courage of his convictions"?   Dunno. The usage is still wrong.

'67 was when 'it' was legal in the UK if you were over 21 & in private. Before then it was prison if they caught you - Imagine that, locked up with all those men away from female company for months on end - That'll learn 'em!  (Actually I imagine it was still pretty horrible)

Not sure what the law is now. 18? 16?
