Re: Spycatcher Post Mortem -

I really would encourage ALL Trads to speak out on this.

If they disagree with Mr. Spycatcher then they ought to care about all of this.

Surely?

True Trad is nonchalent elegance, not rude bigotry and hate. He's dead.

Interesting to see how the moderation works and what pushs the buttons.

Style Councillor was an iconoclast; but I cannot think he was involved in any crime that required relocation under the witness protection programme. What was SC's offence ?

That's the toughest balance: The consensus Vs those random sparks who shake things up.

I'm a shit moderator, but I try to get everybody in here in a way that might work.

I'd love TSC back in a forum-friendly-format, but the whole point of him is that kind of thing is absolutely not his cup of tea.

But never say never.

Re: Spycatcher Post Mortem -

TSC just didn't have a clue about the Ivy League look. I guess, he was more into Carnaby Street/ Swinging 60s mod things, mixed with a bit of 80s football casual sportswear stuff... He didn't like chunky Brogues and Loafers, and had a preference for tiny lightweight thin-soled shoes for example... and he had that aggressive confrontational attitude... a modculture poster...

BTW, someone should check modculture for inane posts.... there's a lot of hilarious stuff!
