I was just out in the shed giving the bike a bit of a once over.

Looking at my Brooks seat I remembered all iTdF gents (iLances or iCadells) who would lovingly over care for the leather by soaking it in Dubbin or somesuch and having it go all floppy like a rag and then overtightening it and stretching it forever.

If a little bit of something is good or great (leather care) it doesn't follow that a bloody huge bucketful is even better.
