The black ones on the Cutler site are pretty cool.
Stefano Bemer's mto shoos are handwelted with machine stitched soles.
"Bemer have informed me that the shoes are totally made by hand excepting only ‘the second seam of the welt with the sole’, this is made by machine".
l spoke to John about gauging demand for Bemer bespoke and seeing if Bemer will make two or three trips out to Oz. lt's probably not going to happen, but we will see.
Bemer is a perfectionist, Cutler sent him a bespoke plaster last and was knocked back the first time. He had to talk him into it.

hope that works.
Yeah i received my letter in the mail from Cutler a day ago informing me about there new shoe line.
the video clearly shows 'hand welting' no gemming here apartently. form the letter, John said the average price was $1,950, assuming the are very good uppers, that is a very good price for a hand welted shoe!
i think this is much like St. Crispin bespoke where it is outsourced.
mind you, most of london bespoke shoes (lobb, cleverly ect all outsource)
the blue derbies are pretty.

lf l get Bemer, l get an antiqued olive green shoo. l'll never have that chance again so i'll splash out with colour.

Those Bemer shoos are INCREDIBLE Meister. Been thinking of Bemer shoos alot in the last few days. So tempting to buy a pair up Sydney.
Those Besteti shoos are also some of the best i've seen from him. Beyond amazing! Enough to keep a bloke awake at night.
l can see all my dreams at night being about Bemer shoos, G&G and peak lapel suits. Will make it impossible to sleep anymore.

Ugolini, just down the road from Bemer, also makes some spectacular shoes.
I stumbled upon Ugolini's workshop last time I was in Florence. The shoes looked like nothing I'd seen. I think the Florentines truly do get the best leathers.
And yes, I think Ugolini is sub-$1000, though I'm not sure if he is MTM or bespoke (or what the difference is to be honest), as I'm not an expert.

Holy shit! What a bummer. So much for me getting some MTO shoos in Sydney. l should have done it, could have done it, but always put it off. l just should have made time. l feel alittle sad about this news, l was always interested in that bloke and l loved following his creations.
This is very sad news, he was so young.
I'm pleasantly surprised someone on SF hasn't tried to contact his family to "offer" to take his leathers and tools etc. off their hands, like they did for Kitonbrioni. I guess Spoopoker hasn't seen the Bemer thread yet.

Some great stuff in that link, fabulous shoos and stories. Thanks Meister.
I just talked to Bemer. He's good people.
