Lion Of Troy

Does anybody remember wearing these back in the day?  I've had two, one made of rayon (chilly feel to it), the other some kind of non-iron mix - thus breaking my rule again on natural fibres.  It's the history of them that appeals, though, like Career Club.  At any rate it's bloody hard-wearing.  Wide stripes in earth colours; goes nicely with chinos or denim.

I'm wearing this shirt today, under a Paine English Explorer.  Sunday morning relaxation wear.  I never fail to be impressed by its durability.  I wonder if they cost much.

Re: Lion Of Troy

I confess to a lapse in memory here.  I remember the rayon item, but not the other.  It was a check half-sleeve, deadstock, that came from Roseanne Ettinger, when she still had her shop in Scranton PA (now relocated to Georgia but still trading).  The other must have come from a US seller but I can't remember anything about it.  The Career Club shirt I recall wearing on a visit to Russell Street: worn with white Levis and probably loafers.
All these have fallen by the wayside.  Brooks shirts seem to last a lifetime.
