The niche appeal of Invertere coats

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Invertere-Mens-Reversible-Tweed-Coat-Raincoat-Ch42-/130450124873?pt=Men_s_Clothes&hash=item1e5f6ef049

Invertere were a superb quality coat made in Newton Abbot, Devon.  I worked over the road from the factory in my first job. They supplied a lot of high class mens shops, here and overseas. Sadly they went out of business about ten years ago. O'Connells stocked their coats and may still have a few knocking around.

The odd one comes up on ebay. This one looks like a real beauty, I just wish the size was a couple of inches smaller.

A couple of great Buffer coats on ebay at the moment but very pricey.

Big fan, missed out in a few due to lack of funds. But I have picked up other bits for peanuts so can't complain.

Though one of those links is to your lesbian cords!

Invertere was excellent. I have a cashmere overcoat.

Re: The niche appeal of Invertere coats

Invertere is one of my regular eBay searches, I'm fascinated by this defunct brand and it's history. Most of the small amount of Invertere that is listed for sale on there is hunting, shooting stuff and fishing stuff which is not really of interest to me. Some of what they made was just plain odd. But now and then a gem turns up like the deadstock overcoat I successful bid on, which arrived yesterday. Dark navy blue wool, round collar with raglan shoulders, just below the knee length, not unlike the old Burberry overcoats. Fabulous quality and a steal at £65. Now I will have to select one from my existing collection for sale.

Are they a bit Grenfell-ish perhaps, with the country vibe?  Funnily enough, I suddenly recalled your interest, all those years ago.
