Except that there is a USA bias toward maximum contrast. I agree in lots of cases its a good idea but in the particular case of the Japanese bloke in the grey jacket and pants etc - theres no doubt in my mind that he looks best in his original combination - of grey, grey and grey , rather than the photoshopped Brown or darker greys.
This isn't a snark at all - just an observation of a distinct preference - I'd say the USA preference is the contrast jacket = Brown looks best - the European (and my) preference would be his grey on grey outfit looks more stylish and sophisticated. And more importantly suits him.
