I set this quizz and there is a small prize for the first correct answer posted in this thread:
What is the link between Russell Street, London WC2 and the first exponent of anti-Brumellian, modern Bling?
You do know that Count 'Orsay was known for his blingy silk waistcoats, don't you? In many ways, D'Orsay was very anti-Brumellian. Mrs Carlyle describes him as being "dressed like a hummingbird".
I have a monkey on mine - but I can't fix an exact date that the little bugger attached hiself.
I'm inclined to think it was there in an embryonic, or byronic , form since conception but I may be wrong and have no scientific way of verifying my assumption.
I ask that you consider me for the prize as I have been feeling rather low of late and could do with a pick me up.
Yours in anticip........ation
