I feel a move to Melbourne in the offing...
Who am I kidding... it's Australia! (snigger)
Sorry mate.
Cheap shot. Very poor...
The New Haven are awful, cut wise, and the cloth isn't too nice either, I sell both that model and the Preppy by Gant and the Preppy has a much nicer leg, but again is mid-waisted. And yes Rep, the Milano is the lowest cut by BB, but is in no way a low-rise compared to some of the brands over here. But in keeping with the theme of the thread, probably wasn't worth mentioning, but still a great leg on them. Especially if you go a waist size down and let out.
I'm not German... I'm Prussian.
I'm Transsylvanian on the maternal side...
What's more gay? Rocky Horror Show!
Sucking the blood from your wieners!
Anyone go after the Baracuta pair that finished on Ebay last night?
I wouldn't touch anything Baracuta apart from their outerwear, other items I've had from them have been shit.
Vintage or contemporary? Or both?
Andy - Contemporary, hadn't ever owned anything vintage by them, be good to know if it is worth while though save me turning my nose up at something worth looking at.
^ Perhaps best stick to outerwear, judging by my ancient trenchcoat. Cheap if not exactly cheerful.
I had thought, just for a moment, I had tracked down another pair of the great Levis chinos I picked up in Oxfam a few years ago for £4.99. They were, unfortunately, poly/cotton. Deadstock on Ebay. I don't know - the old Russell might, though - if the Levis were American-made at that time (the 80s). Beatnik might also know. My God, they're hard-wearing, albeit beginning to fray at the hems.
^For some strange reason, unlike shirts, poly-cotton and even full on dacron works in chinos and pants. Why I dunno', but it does.

Where did you buy those incotex
^ Around the corner from where I live. The pictured pair is not mine.
Perfection...
maybe that's for the museum, too...
I haven't yet found the perfect pair of Chinos.
Most of mine are flat fronted and 100% cotton, of course... most of them at least slightly tapered and fairly high rise....
I have Land's End, LL Bean, Bill's Khakis, Hiltl and Gap ones... the Bill's have a good rise, but are a little bit wide in the legs and in the seat, as I said 19" trouser bottoms and 23" knees... the Hiltl and the Gap ones are a little bit low waisted, LL Beans are medium...
I'm curious about O'Connell's, the JS and the Press ones...
I like the rise on Bill's, but I find the legs and everything else to bit a bit too baggy.
The problem I have with Bean and Lands End is that they seem to tinker with the spec's from year to year. One year you might come up with a pair that are perfectly acceptable; the next year the trousers will have a funny cut.
The O'Connell's chinos are nice, but they may require a bit of alteration (less so than Bill's) to achieve the perfect profile. I like the unwashed/non pre-shrunk material.
