^ That's a rotary washing line WM, a European invention for people who don't have backyards the size of a s*occer pitch.
AKA the whirlygig. Ahhh, I used to love my old back garden whirlygig.
I have no idea the size of my back yard. Is what I see there your entire back yard? Judging from the bottom picture, my back yard is probably 4 or 5 times that size. But it's mostly grass lawn. I have some rose bushes, azaleas, two blueberry bushes, a fig tree, a pear tree, and a dogwood tree, with a a few large pines thrown in. Plus a small vegetable garden. Yours looks nice and private.

Those are ley lines Cliffo - connecting us to the stones man!
Well, it's very nice looking. A problem I need to remedy is the fact that the sun, from noon on, casts its blazing rays right on my back porch. During summer, it is almost unbearable to be out there. I do like it when Mrs. WM can be found sunning out there in her bikini though.

Now THAT's what I'm talking about. I may need to do this, and if so, I'll request your advice on design and construction methods. Speakers under eaves - brilliant!
I'll try to snap those shots you request.
WM, you can do a rough hack without the infrastructure as a temp measure. Plant a few of the ornamental grape vines straightaway. They take a year or two to get established , so you've got them going contributing. If you haven't got the cash or time/skills then you can train them up some wire or wire cables. Even of its a bit dodgy it will work and look OK. I can't remember the proper name of the vines but I'm sure your local nursery will have them. Wisteria is worth putting in now too. Even Boston ivy, Parthenocissus tricuspidata, is good and will grow up house wall or fence and it isn't destructive. Does the same thing, gr3n in summer, red autumn then sheds leaves.
The speakers are an old set of small bookshelf speakers I think I scored off a hard rubbish chuck out, connected to and old amp/reciecer in Ms fxh painting studio and leads run through top of door/ window. Nice to tune into classical FM radio on a summer nightn eating out on deck. Have an old crappy DVD player hooked up that will play MP3 so can make a " mix tape" of anything that will play for an hour on CD.
Pass the ...Red red wine. Or what made Milwaukee famous... Or pass the dutchie on the left hand side...and another olive
See how we got off topic but cleverly swung back to Ivy! Boston Ivy no less.

Bagged a box of these last weekend, smell is not bad at all and they just tuck into a pocket, or onto a shelf/drawer.
As I have an Ikea expedit unit for my knitwear and tops these work pretty well.
