Great post.

Yes, definitely a fan. And we are no doubt alone. I think it's a bonafide cult film for all the reasons you mentioned. You can enjoy it as sa travelogue of Italy, a movie with great sartorial style that really reflects and creates character, and some compelling performances from Matt Damon and Jude Law who really can act if they're working with a good director and Anthony M is one of the best.

About a year ago profiles of Ann Roth appeared in the New York Times and the L.A. Times, oddly on the same Saturday. One was written by Kate Betts, former Vogue writer and brief ed in chief of Harper's Bazaar.

Speaking of Matt Damon, just saw The Good Shepard. Nifty clothes but pretty tedious bit of story telling. That fault likes with the director, some guy named Robert De Niro.
