High waisted (blue) jeans

I know that this has been discussed previously, but I can't find the thread.

Can anyone recommend some jeans with a proper high waist (but ideally not a sky-high priced Japanese repro).

Thanks in advance.

Re: High waisted (blue) jeans

There was a vintage pair by Mr Leggs on ebay last week. I think in size 32. Very high waist and very tapered early 60's cut. If they would be your size and may interest I'll dig out the link for you.

Thanks, but waist probably a bit too tight for me now that I'm getting middle aged!  A 34 inch would be ideal.

I couldn't step out of my front door in something called Diamond Gusset!

No problem with Levi Strauss, but Diamond Gussett sounds like the name of a lap dancing club.

In the super pricey category, there's Iron Heart's collab with Aero Leather.  It's called the 1955S, yours for a meager $400.  Very high waist.
