Re: Mark McNairy

What does a hoho sound like?  F sharp?

Which reminds me...

What do you get if you throw a piano down a mineshaft?

A flat minor.

Re: Mark McNairy

I find myself caring less - and more.  Nothing to do with 'less is more' (necessarily), but managing (on occasion) to jump into the stuff without too much agonising.  That's why I tend to go, straight off, for either a polo shirt or a pale blue Brooks.  It is a bit like owning seven navy blue Lacoste for summer - takes the pain away.  I am no stylist.  Nor a creative type.  I am, in fact, bone idle.  But - good heavens - I'm still not only interested, but fascinated and perplexed.

Re: Mark McNairy

Ten years on and I feel much the same way.  The postings of GG - full of passion and pain - were always a joy, as was the gentle-piss taking of The Beatnik (a lovely, sweet guy away from the Internet, I'll have you know - as is GG).  Don't go with the Lacoste thing now.  I barely stepped foot in their store on Saturday afternoon: wrong vibe, wrong setting entirely.  The pale blue Brooks is an entirely different matter.  Blue for perfection, white if feeling outlandish, pink if on drugs.  As someone once said.  Pink I never could manage (although I'm sure GG could).  What he - GG - had to say here in 2011 is even more relevant for 2021.
