I'm going through a bit of an ankle boot mania lately. Plan to acquire many more pairs in the near future.
Unlike Shooey, I don't have a problem with the elastic gore of Chelseas. Yesterday, I saw a pair of beautifully handmade Chelseas with a series of leather gussets covering the elastic gore, which is the most elegant treatment of it I've seen. Unfortunately, as is nearly always the case in Japan, they did not have them in my size.
