Don't you think?
I've had a Duffle in the past, but I find the PeaCoat much more wearable - It dresses up or down with much more flexibility in my book.
A PeaCoat hero:

Any other PeaCoat Heroes?

Unfortunately, I look like a small evil Gestapo officer when wearing a peacoat.
Love the pea coat.
I got one the other week from Rokit on Brick Lane...US army issue from 1967 worn by Mr. R. L. Waltenberger.
I like this shot...Sunglasses with wool outerwear is cool!

How do you wear them? Collar popped? With cords a desert boots? Denim?
i'm finally thinking of buying one.. will wear it with cords / chinos / denims + dessies or playboys, with a red scarf and cousteau beanie on cold days.
I have a peacoat and a duffle, lately the duffle has won out though. Hard to argue with the classic peacoat look though
My absolutely favourite coat style. They have that smart, military look to them. I have a Gieves & Hawkes one which has a martingale belt on it, this moves it slightly away from the classic 'P' but the core DNA is still there. It's a beautiful, stylish coat.
There's a nice US Navy peacoat on that History Preservation website. There's a few items on there I fancy, but is it anything more than a fancy? And is nice enough to go through the hassle of faxing an order? I dunno.
Ah yes, Army and Navy stores, haven't been in one of them for many years. Don't have them over here in Holland I'm afraid, and I rarely go back to dear old Blighty in case the tax man or one of my old creditors catches up with me.
No, you're mistaking that with White Widow. Seriously, it may have done, but I've never seen one here.
Pea coat is a a funny length and can be a bit boxy.
For those of us of a certain age it can bring back memories of the dreaded car coat.
Anyway the world and his wife are wearing them now. Time to be different.
Similarly for us old ones the duffle coat evokes CND, soap dodgers, students.
