I think of Dick Fuld and I think of the Peter principle. C'est la vie C'est la guerre.
Fuld was truly obnoxious - regardless of his dress sense or uxoriousness.
In a civilised society people like him would have been hanged once their wrongdoing was uncovered.

Seems like the sticklers for buttoned up dress are often first class twats.
"Jesse Sheidlower, an Oxford English Dictionary editor among whose works is a 272-page history of the word fuck, is a prime example"
LOL Are the day jobs of the SF crowd as time consuming?
Whenever one reads about these financiers and money men, one is never move to think: "so and so sounds like an interesting fellow." Rather, they always come across as borderline psychotics, utterly soulless and deeply disturbed, driven to near madness in pursuit of mammon and wealth. Yeats nailed it with his observation that "the best lack all conviction while the worst/are full of passionate intensity." That these scumbags have pillaged the public fisc for literally trillions of dollars is such a colossal scandal that it is hardly bears thinking about. In any sane nation, the red flag would have been run up over the New York Fed two years ago.
