An iGent asks a typical dullard question (is it acceptable to wear a sweater vest during the summer?), and the other iGents helpfully inform him that it will be too warm. In this case the answers were, in fact, stupider than the question, which itself set a very high (or low) bar for stupidity. Also Earle of Ormonde, who I have come to rather like, plays the Atlantic divide card and professes confusion that the OP didn't say "woolen waistcoat."

This is spectacular - a newly minted tryhard shoe expert wants the straight dope on Blake versus Goodyear welting - he wants to know how much water will get into his shoes when he ditches his Florsheims and gets into some sweet, sweet Delrays. I quiver with pity for whatever poor shoe clerk has to deal with this guy, assuming he doesn't just order online. High-priced streetfighter Cuff Daddy is there to offer sage advice. Maybe he and the OP will get married in matching Barbour coats, and instead of a conventional reception buffet the guests can simply pull food out of their game pockets.

Perhaps because you give off such a borderline-crazy vibe that they would rather not waste their time with you? Forum genius Hellomarty drops by the thread to complain bitterly about Brooks Brothers, or CROOKS BROTHERS! I see what you did there!

Hellomarty was the same guy who was angry that Nordstrom didn't send him a free shoe tree with his deep-discount Allen-Edmonds, despite the fact that Allen-Edmonds, not Nordstrom, offered said free shoe trees. It must be a grim time to work in clothing retail.

Great finds, guys. The iGents make it too easy. But I think we need to develop a troll detector, since I suspect that many of FNB members are busy trolling on Andyland and StyleFame.

Running Style Forum must really be worthwhile if the mods are willing to stage fundraisers to pay for upgrades.
