Unlike 'The Times' it is still available to read for free on t'internet. Is there a problem with 'The Daily Mail'?
I never quite figured out the difference between 'The Daily Mail' and 'The Express'.
It's a shame 'The Thunderer' has gone pay as you go. That leaves 'The Telegraph', 'The Independent', 'The Guardian', Channel 4 News and a couple of free articles in the 'FT' a month in which to glean what's happening in the world outside of the enchantment of suburbia.
A populist approach means the Mail site set gets a lot of hits on the internet.
So much so that, according to Private Eye, the Telegraph is now trying to emulate its success
What I really like about 'The Telegraph' are the comments from the readers, a rather opinioted punch. Much more interesting then what you get in 'The Guardian'.
The DT is the only paper, even my liberal-voting wife agrees - and that's quite a feat. I used to like The Observer on Sundays but The Daily Mail?! Isn't it six feet right of The Sun? Zig Heil!!
NJS perhaps you would like to create your own Daily Mail headlines?

this is brilliant and i only have a vague idea of what the daily mail is. i, for one, am tired of the french devaluing my children.
i also share their conviction that binge drinking will ruin the memory of Diana. is this a bad thing, though?
^ Michael Howard sings The Smiths might be a more familiar concept.
Daily Mail Headlines:
'Country faces economic meltdown - courtesy of last Labour government.'
'Country faces most savage budget cuts in generations - courtesy of last Labour government.'
'Country out of World Cup in embarrassing display by overpaid adulterers - courtesy of last Labour government'.
'Feral youths run wild in our towns and villages - courtesy of last Labour government'.
'I can't find a decent place to eat - courtesy of last Labour government'.
'One sock always seems to be missing - courtesy of last Labour government'.
'Things that I don't like happen regularly - courtesy of last Labour government'.
Etc.
Well, a lot of it is true...and thanks for bringing culpability for the missing sock phenomenon to my attention.

Ok, Ok, OK, when I said the DT, I had overlooked the intellectual challenges of the Sunday Sport. Bless them Both of them. Every time.

The Sunday Sport, also had editorials by Shaun Ryder and Bez.
A great periodical to locate the dirtiest, heroin addicted and filthiest flea ridden whores in the wrong end of town imaginable.
Exactly, all this was in the adverts on the back pages. On the front they were running down the celebrities who had used them.
