I'm interested in hearing more about his 'Right Wing' and 'fundamentalist Christian views'. What do those mean exactly ?
Are they saying he was a follower of Christ, you know, the 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you', 'Love thy neighbor' and 'Forgive those whom trespass against you' Christian or some other kind ? Does reading the Bible and believing in the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus make one a 'fundamentalist' ?
And what does Right Wing mean in Norway ? Did he follow the National Socialist script from the WWII era ie: Anti Jew, anti communist, anti immigrant and for state control of and distribution of resources ?
BTW - I have always been confused about the basic premise of what 'Right Wing' means .... I mean weren't the National Socialists and the Communists fighting over the same political space ? To my mind the 'Nazi's' were on the Left ... i.e. state control etc.
I would think that the Right Wing would be the Anarchists, no ?
We've been getting some witness reports from the Island, one kid played dead 1m from the gunmans feet amongst bodies. The gunman has heard to be shouting "I'm going to kill you all". He (the gunman) was dressed as a police man and beckoned children to him telling them they were safe before opening fire with a machine gun.
I been following the story on Norwegien news and BBC world news. I've noticed that the local news is more factual. The beeb seem to want people to comment on speculation. When someone from Norway, such as the chief of police, refused to speculate the interviewer is knocked from their stride. The beeb seem to have a lot of misinfromation, one American terrorist "expert" said that there was a large muslim populas in Oslo. "450 000 people live in Oslo, 150 000 of those are muslim, mainly from Pakistan and Somalia". Thats 1 in every 3 people in the city. Infact there are 40 000 muslims living in Oslo COUNTY, and thoughout Norway, muslims make up just over 4% of the population. Now its been revealed that the terrorist is a right wing bible basher, he's decribed as " A blond haired blue eyed Norwegien, over 6ft tall with links to known right wing groups". Phases like " Norway has had problems with neo-facists groups in the past". The desire to blow things out of proportion is fantastic. I always thought that was reserved to the British press.

Whew - I'm just glad he wasn't UNDER 6 ft tall - otherwise all the short people would have a lot of explaining to do ....
Yeah, it was just the way that the beeb tried to give an image that we have a problem with neo-nazi's that are looking like the master race. Of course short neo-nazi's with blond hair and blue eyes don't sound so dangerous.
What are people, outside the armed forces, doing with machine guns? Of course, the gun and then guns in general will be blamed and, before we know where we are, sporting shotguns will be 'banned' too and all because the system cannot control criminals and nutters. I am amazed that they took him alive and assume that he will be found to be insane. What then? Well, he will then be kept, at the taxpayers expense, for the rest of his days. Publicly putting him through a mincing machine would probably prove a great deterrent and rid the earth of a thorough rotter.
That's from poster "lucky strike" from Oslo over on style forum
New York daily news has photos from shooting and bombing and underneath yahoo ads is sensitively running CHEAP FLIGHTS TO NORWAY book now
So, if what 'lucky strike' posts is true and he was pro Israel and anti racism, the 'Neo Nazi' thing can be put to rest.
Edited to add: It seems like 'lucky strike' did a lot of work to put that together although some of his conclusions seem rather slapdash.
That being said, there's more info to investigate here than anywhere else I've seen through the standard sources
