Recently purchased a copy of this comprehensive volume on EBay (it lists for up to $2000+ from other sources). It is a very large and weighty tome indeed, with very detailed exerpts of both pictures and text from Esquire, AA, etc., and was published in 1973. My thoughts on perusing it: (1) Men's clothing from 1900 to the late twenties was, for the most part, quite ugly (2) Thirties fashions were the most elegant and stylish of all (3) The classic Ivy look still holds up very well indeed (4) the late Sixties and especially the early 70's were godawful-the worst possible styles (terribly proportioned), accompanied by awful double-knit fabrics and ridiculous furnishings and footwear.
I guess if no one else owns a copy, we will have to take your word for it.
