This version looks cute. Mainly for casual wear? The button-facing would indicate that for me.

Not so fond of the "on the top of each other" solution.

^ I think the MS collars wouldn't look anywhere close to the ones DeNiro is sporting (IMO they look horrible). It's a matter of proportionality with respect to the wearer; pics of folded shirts can be misleading in this regard.

Never wear a button down collar when wearing a double breasted jacket.

Whatever happened to Mr Grayson? There was of course the online battle between his goodself and that eminent gentleman of the Law, Mr Grossgrain Silk and a pledge to fight creeping Sharia wherever it may be. But surely he has time to educate us with his sartorial knowledge and daring do?

What I love about resurrectedthreads like this one is how they demonstrate how even this excellent clothing forum had its share of iGents and iGent inanities in its early days. For those who've been here since the git-go, it must be a bit like looking at those old snaps of oneself that now make one cringe.

Re: The Italian 2-Button Shirt Collar Band (Pics)

There was a certain segment of middle class Dutch who just couldn't be seen without 2 button, even 3 button shirt collars, reinforced with paisley patterns on inside of the neck and collar. That was the hight of fashion for about 5-6 years and then suddenly, late last year, that look disappeared. Thank god.

Just looks too stiff, ornate and poncy for my liking.

2 button shirt collars are a bit Gary Linneker, a bit Alan Shearer and - worst of all- a bit Mark Lawrenson.

If you have a long neck they can look good.

They are difficult to fasten but the button holes being cut on the diagonal as opposed to being on the vertical is beneficial in this regard.

^ Yes that is exactly what I mean.

One benefit is that it does distract from the nonsense that he is usually spouting on the show.

I wonder where he gets them? Does the wife buy them for him?

Don't the BBC employ people to check that pundits look presentable?

^Apparently season tickets are really cheap over there in comparison to UK. We had a contractor from Amsterdam tell us about Ajax. Not many big matches though.

I have been to Twente Enschede not very impressed - lacked character.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.
