As opposed to the clinking of shackles - which is presumably the sound your great-great-great grandfather made when he got off the boat?

Had a couple of good nights last week drinking craft beers at The Euston Tap, a little concrete block outside Euston Station. It only takes a few to have you staggering!
More regularly drinking the widely-available Hobgoblin and Spitfire, and always Guinness.
Currently on a bottle of Glenfiddich too. I always have a few drops of water in my glass.
^ Not sure 'little concrete block' does it justice. A pair of commemorative arches is a closer description. Cider in one; ales in the other. Good but popular; so even finding a place to rest your glass can be difficult.
some cheapish australian chardonnay. does fine when chilled proper.
I have not had much experience with Bourbon. Can you recommend some better brands? I'm am also interested in Gins and Ryes if anyone has any good recommendation. I have been involved in a scotch club for about a year and have learned a lot from the group but am looking to expand.
The barrel proof bourbons are the nicest, in my opinion. (Just make sure to add some water first.)
I can recommend Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Booker's, and Old Grand Dad 114 (I believe this is barrel proof), but any barrel proof bourbon will likely be good.
From a less extreme perspective, whenever I've chosen traditional strength (100 proof) bourbons over the lower proof offerings, I've rarely been disappointed.
she looks happy enough

One of the corner shops where I live was busted recently for selling counterfeit vodka which was believed to originate from China. Some of the stuff they are turning out has some really nasty chemicals in it, same with their cigarettes. Best avoided.
