I was at the legendry Reeves & Mortimer gig at Liverpool Uni back in '89 (or 90?) and they were something very different and special.
But The Who like adulation by the crowd and my chums afterwards when a throng followed the commedians and camped outside of their digs, even though I was part of this mass, always struck me as way too over the top.
