I had a 1976 BMW 2002 for a while.  Bright red, 4 speed, wooden steering wheel.  It was a joy to drive - peppy and you could make 90 degree turns at phenomenal speeds.  It just hugged the road due to the negative camber on the rear wheels.  Problem was it was only a 4 speed and geared so that it was peppy and accelerated great, but top speed was not too good on the old engine.  The engine had never been rebuilt and after driving an hour and a half freeway trip at close to 75 MPH in 4th gear it threw a rod about 5 miles from my house.  At the time I didn't have the money to have it repaired so it sat for almost a year at my parents' house until I sold it.  Fun car though. 

For shear aesthetic design, I think the E type jag is my favorite.  Never driven one but I know a guy that had one in the '60s and he's raced cars and driven plenty of luxury and sport cars and he says to this day that he wishes he had another E.  Says it's one of the best cars he's ever driven.  Really can't stand the Royce design.  Never liked it.
